In Adilabad, Telangana, a boy was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta — a rare genetic bone disorder. He never walked. He never sat up on his own. Every day of his life has been lived lying down, with family by his side. Most people would call that a limit. He calls it a starting point.
Learning without a classroom
He never set foot in a school. Instead, his grandmother taught him the alphabet through charts and alphabets. A local trainer came home every evening and taught him for about an hour and a half. His parents — both government school teachers — turned their home into a school. In 2018, he passed his Class 10 through open schooling.
A turning point, not a dead end
In 2019 he wanted to continue higher studies, but serious health complications interrupted that path. Rather than stop, he changed direction — learning English on his smartphone, mastering web browsing with one hand, and completing an AI-based digital marketing course.
A career built from bed
Today Venkata Ramana is a Digital Marketing Lead. He leads a team from his bed, attends office meetings on his phone, and earns more than ₹50,000 a month. He has trained roughly 300 young people in digital skills, mentors hundreds of aspirants, and works with marketing and EdTech firms — proof that the mind, not the body, defines a career.
